Welcome to WLS4Health.com :)

This site is about my journey to health through Roux-en-Y gastric bypass weight loss surgery, or WLS. But it is my hope that through learning about my journey and experience with WLS, that it will help others going through the same thing, or perhaps struggling with the decision to have WLS. If you have a question that you can not find by searching this site, feel free to contact me, and I’ll do my best to answer your question, or direct you to the answer.

We need to be educated about our own health. We need to know what we, nutritionally speaking, as post-ops, need to stay healthy. Many post-ops also struggle with emotional and mental issues surrounding the changes massive weight loss can stir up; such as dealing with old food habits, body image issues and comments from society about our decision to use surgery as a tool to help us regain our health.

I am not a medical professional, so the contents of this site are merely my personal thoughts, opinions, convictions and revelations based on my personal experience, research and findings through my own journey, and from what I observe through contact and communication with other WLS post-ops. So please do not take any information posted on this site as medical advice; but please do take anything I post and do your own research and see if it may also apply to you and take it to your own doctor/surgeon for his/her opinion on it’s relevance to you and your situation.

May God bless you on your journey to good health.
